No recuerdo donde vi una de sus marionetas por primera vez, no lo recuerdo…
Me apunté en mi cuadernos de “cosas que me gustan” que tenia que hablar de ella, y de su trabajo.
Hoy cuando me he sumergido de lleno en su blog para subir alguna foto de su trabajo y poder ilustrar la entrada, me he tirado horas, y no os exagero.
Sus ilustraciones te enganchan, y Cecilia nos ha querido regalar una de ellas para sortear entre vosotras.

Cecilia Plaza es de un pequeño pueblo de Cuenca, -“aunque ya hace muchos años que vivo en Valencia.”
-“Todo esto de la necesidad de crear no tengo consciencia de cuando empezó porque siempre fue así, desde muy pequeña recuerdo siempre haber sido mas feliz creando mis propios juguetes que con cualquier otra cosa...”
Después de estudiar lo que siempre tuvo claro que estudiaría, Bellas artes, se planteó dedicarse a esto en serio,
-“y aunque ya antes había hecho mis pinitos con exposiciones y ferias fue a partir del 2004-05 cuando empezaron a aumentar los pedidos y cuando me puse en serio con la Web, el Blog y mas adelante con la Tienda virtual.
En su familia no hay antecedentes de marionetistas pero si una gran tradición de modistas y costureras, es por esto creo que son marionetas precisamente lo que hago, por que ese gusto por la costura siempre me ha acompañado y en este producto puedo unir el modelado la pintura y la costura. Aunque no puedo dejar de lado la otra gran pasión de mi vida, la ilustración.
-“Solo se que me reconforta todo aquello hecho a mano y todo lo que implica, el ambiente que se crea alrededor de los objetos hechos con detenimiento y cariño, esa es también mi inspiración.”
-“En el caso de las ilustraciones me inspiran las imágenes oníricas de ciudades y paisajes atemporales, los sueños, los sentimientos, las sombras...”
Su trabajo nos ha dejado boquiabiertas. APASIONANTE CECILIA PLAZA, APASIONANTE.

Everything handmade reassures me

In her family there is not any backgrouung of puppeteers but a great tradition of tailors andseamstresses, which is why I think that precisely are puppets what I do, that this taste forcouture always accompanied me and I can unite this product modeling painting and sewing.Although I can not ignore the other great passion of my life, illustration.
